WESTERN TECHNOLOGIES THROUGH THE YEARS

ABOUT US

1955

Jim Warne Jr., WWII veteran and pioneer in the field of materials testing in the Southwest, built our first 180 sf building where he manually operated a 300,000-pound concrete compression machine.

1958

Our first employee, Paul E. Schabacker, volunteered to pick up a 3/4 ton International Harvester pickup truck then drove to Pittsburg where he picked up a “penn-Drill” rig and on to Phoenix where drilling jobs were waiting.
